Auction result well in line with expectations
The work No. 22 Newport Oregon, 1956 by Raimonds Staprans was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,470.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raimonds Staprans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning Mist, 1986 in September last year with an auction result of USD 189,375.00 (€ 193,575.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit No. 22 Newport Oregon, 1956 von Raimonds Staprans kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.470,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raimonds Staprans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Morning Mist, 1986 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 189.375,00 (€ 193.575,59).
