This artwork by Raffaelle Mainella achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2005. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work Venetian Urchins On The Edge of The Lagoon (Illustrated); And Idle Gossip On The Edge of The Lagoon, Venice sold for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,778.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Admittedly, works by Raffaelle Mainella have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jerusalem in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,910.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raffaelle Mainella erzielte im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours wurde die Arbeit Venetian Urchins On The Edge of The Lagoon (Illustrated); And Idle Gossip On The Edge of The Lagoon, Venice für GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.778,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raffaelle Mainella auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jerusalem im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.910,19).
