In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work Venetian Urchins On The Edge of The Lagoon (Illustrated); And Idle Gossip On The Edge of The Lagoon, Venice sold for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,778.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Admittedly, works by Raffaelle Mainella have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jerusalem in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,910.19).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raffaelle Mainella auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jerusalem im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.910,19).
