Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Feeding the birds on the Venetian lagoon; and Gondolas and a fishing boat before Venice by Raffaelle Mainella was sold in the Old Masters & 19th Century Art auction at Christies in London in April 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,111.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Raffaelle Mainella have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jerusalem in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,910.19).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Feeding the birds on the Venetian lagoon; and Gondolas and a fishing boat before Venice von Raffaelle Mainella wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.111,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raffaelle Mainella auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jerusalem im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.910,19).
