Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Rio San Trovaso, Venice by Rafael Senet was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,643.05). Admittedly, works by Rafael Senet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vista De La Plaza De San Marco Con Santa Maria Della Salute Al Fondo (View Towards St. Mark'S Square With Santa Maria Della Salute In The Distance) in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,500.00 (€ 34,306.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Rio San Trovaso, Venice von Rafael Senet im Januar 2015 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.643,05) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rafael Senet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vista De La Plaza De San Marco Con Santa Maria Della Salute Al Fondo (View Towards St. Mark'S Square With Santa Maria Della Salute In The Distance) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.500,00 (€ 34.306,34).
