Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work The Warriors by Raduan Man. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,841.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raduan Man - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Between Two Hearts, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,890.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Warriors von Raduan Man zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.841,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Raduan Man mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Between Two Hearts beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.890,22) versteigert wurde.
