Sold at the upper estimate price
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale, which included the work In Love Again by Raduan Man. The auction ended at the price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,573.81), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raduan Man - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Between Two Hearts, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,890.22).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit In Love Again von Raduan Man zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.573,81) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Raduan Man mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Between Two Hearts beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.890,22) versteigert wurde.
