Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Raduan Man could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work A Kiss Goodnight changed hands for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,268.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raduan Man - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Between Two Hearts, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,890.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raduan Man konnte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit A Kiss Goodnight für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.268,59) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Raduan Man mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Between Two Hearts beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.890,22) versteigert wurde.
