This artwork by Rachel Nicholson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2019. In the Modern | British Art auction, the work Still Life on Blue sold for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,577.66) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rachel Nicholson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Composition on Black and Green with Two Cups sold at auction in September last year with the realized price of GBP 5,355.00 (€ 6,094.51).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Rachel Nicholson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Composition on Black and Green with Two Cups im September letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 5.355,00 (€ 6.094,51).
