Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
When the work Volumes Of Landscape by Qiu Deshu was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 2,500.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,112.41). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Deshu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light) in October 2014 with an auction result of CNY 2,190,000.00 (€ 285,940.94).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Volumes Of Landscape von Qiu Deshu im März 2021 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 2.500,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.112,41) mehr als viermal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Deshu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 2.190.000,00 (€ 285.940,94).
