Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Qiu Deshu could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work Fissuring Series - Elves changed hands for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,341.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Deshu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light) in October 2014 with an auction result of CNY 2,190,000.00 (€ 285,940.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qiu Deshu konnte im März 2021 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia wechselte die Arbeit Fissuring Series - Elves für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.341,82) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Deshu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 2.190.000,00 (€ 285.940,94).
