This artwork by Qiu Deshu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2018. In the Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition auction, the work without title sold for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,213.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Deshu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light) in October 2014 with an auction result of CNY 2,190,000.00 (€ 285,940.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qiu Deshu erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.213,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Deshu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 2.190.000,00 (€ 285.940,94).
