This artwork by Qiu Deshu achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in September 2018. In the Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Fissuring sold for HKD 826,000.00 (€ 90,901.22) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qiu Deshu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light), which sold at auction in October 2014 for CNY 2,190,000.00 (€ 285,940.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qiu Deshu erzielte im September 2018 bei POLY einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Fissuring für HKD 826.000,00 (€ 90.901,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 350.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Qiu Deshu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für CNY 2.190.000,00 (€ 285.940,94) versteigert wurde.
