Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fissuring Scenery: Cloud Capped Mountains(Painted In 2006-2008) by Qiu Deshu was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. The price achieved of HKD 259,600.00 (€ 28,572.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 220,000.00 – 320,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Deshu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light) in October 2014 with an auction result of CNY 2,190,000.00 (€ 285,940.94).
