This artwork by Qiu Deshu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Contemporary Ink Art: Confluence auction, the work Fissuring - Genesis - Landscape, No. 11 sold for HKD 337,500.00 (€ 37,145.86) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qiu Deshu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light) in October 2014 with an auction result of CNY 2,190,000.00 (€ 285,940.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qiu Deshu erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art: Confluence wurde die Arbeit Fissuring - Genesis - Landscape, No. 11 für HKD 337.500,00 (€ 37.145,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Deshu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 2.190.000,00 (€ 285.940,94).
