Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cracks - Elves by Qiu Deshu was sold in the Contemporary Ink Art: Confluence auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,190.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qiu Deshu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light) in October 2014 with an auction result of CNY 2,190,000.00 (€ 285,940.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cracks - Elves von Qiu Deshu wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art: Confluence bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 6.190,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qiu Deshu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fissuring-Landscape (Dawn Light) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 2.190.000,00 (€ 285.940,94).
