Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Qiu Anxiong could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art auction, the work Minguo Landscape changed hands for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,224.94) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qiu Anxiong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In The Sky, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,276.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qiu Anxiong konnte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art wechselte die Arbeit Minguo Landscape für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.224,94) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Qiu Anxiong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In The Sky beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.276,14) versteigert wurde.
