This artwork by Qian Juntao achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in April 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction, the work Under The Pine Tree•calligraphic Couplets sold for HKD 88,500.00 (€ 10,073.88) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Qian Juntao; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Red Lotus sold at auction in April this year with the realized price of HKD 12,000.00 (€ 12,254.35).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Juntao erzielte im April 2019 bei POLY einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II wurde die Arbeit Under The Pine Tree•calligraphic Couplets für HKD 88.500,00 (€ 10.073,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Qian Juntao; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Red Lotus im April diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 12.000,00 (€ 12.254,35).
