Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Cursive Script by Qian Juntao was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The price achieved of HKD 15,120.00 (€ 1,795.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qian Juntao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Lotus in April this year with an auction result of HKD 12,000.00 (€ 12,254.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Cursive Script von Qian Juntao wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 15.120,00 (€ 1.795,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qian Juntao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Lotus im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.000,00 (€ 12.254,35).
