Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Meeting Friend by Qian Gu was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Paris in June this year. The price achieved of HKD 100,800.00 (€ 11,778.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Gu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 500,000.00 (€ 426,693.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Meeting Friend von Qian Gu wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.800,00 (€ 11.778,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Gu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 500.000,00 (€ 426.693,98).
