Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work 2004 No. 4 by Qi Zhilong. It changed hands for a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 14,156.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Zhilong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chinese Girl Series No.1 in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 3,847,500.00 (€ 317,082.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 2004 No. 4 von Qi Zhilong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 14.156,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qi Zhilong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chinese Girl Series No.1 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.847.500,00 (€ 317.082,64).
