Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rustende schoorsteenveger by Pyke Koch was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 150,000.00 – 20,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 469,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Pyke Koch have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2020 the work Florentijnse Tuin (Florentine Garden) was auctioned for GBP 555,000.00 (€ 643,246.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rustende schoorsteenveger von Pyke Koch kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 150.000,00 – 20.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 469.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Pyke Koch konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2020 die Arbeit Florentijnse Tuin (Florentine Garden) für GBP 555.000,00 (€ 643.246,26) versteigert.
