Bei Zi Pu Xian, Pu Xian Yin Xin Chang Shou, Yi Zhai Hua Ji
Last scroll inscribed and signed: Yizhai Jushi Pu Xian
Three seals of the artist: Fang Qing Qiu He, Pu Xian Yin Xin Chang Shou, Yu Zuo Wu You

A top price for Pu Xian
This artwork by Pu Xian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2004. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Birds And Flowers sold for HKD 215,100.00 (€ 21,668.63) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. This high result makes Birds And Flowers the most expensive artwork by Pu Xian that we have observed at auctions so far.
