This artwork by Pu Tong achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Orchid And Calligraphy In Running-Script sold for HKD 49,560.00 (€ 5,664.63) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pu Tong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heart Sutra in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 239,400.00 (€ 26,629.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pu Tong erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Orchid And Calligraphy In Running-Script für HKD 49.560,00 (€ 5.664,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pu Tong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heart Sutra im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 239.400,00 (€ 26.629,93).
