It achieved a price of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,946.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 31%. Admittedly, works by Pu Tong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heart Sutra in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 239,400.00 (€ 26,629.93).

Die Arbeit Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script von Pu Tong kam im Dezember 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.946,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pu Tong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heart Sutra im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 239.400,00 (€ 26.629,93).
