This artwork by Pu Tong achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy In Running Script sold for HKD 141,600.00 (€ 16,364.81) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pu Tong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Heart Sutra sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of HKD 239,400.00 (€ 26,629.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pu Tong erzielte im April 2015 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script für HKD 141.600,00 (€ 16.364,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Pu Tong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Heart Sutra im Oktober 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 239.400,00 (€ 26.629,93).
