In April 2015 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Pu Tong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 82,600.00 (€ 9,546.14), 65% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pu Tong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heart Sutra, which sold at auction in October 2021 for HKD 239,400.00 (€ 26,629.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 65 % übertroffen
Im April 2015 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Pu Tong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 82.600,00 (€ 9.546,14) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pu Tong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heart Sutra beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für HKD 239.400,00 (€ 26.629,93) versteigert wurde.
