Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Bamboo by Pu Tong was worth HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,834.75) to a buyer in April 2015. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pu Tong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heart Sutra, which sold at auction in October 2021 for HKD 239,400.00 (€ 26,629.93).

Die Arbeit Bamboo von Pu Tong war einem Käufer im April 2015 HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.834,75) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Pu Tong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heart Sutra beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für HKD 239.400,00 (€ 26.629,93) versteigert wurde.
