Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New Year by Pu Sheng was sold in the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. The price achieved of HKD 15,120.00 (€ 1,740.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 12,000.00 – 22,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pu Sheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Hidden Place, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,799.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit New Year von Pu Sheng wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 15.120,00 (€ 1.740,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 12.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pu Sheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Hidden Place beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.799,07) versteigert wurde.
