In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction The Collection of Professor Sir Albert Richardson, P.R.A., which included the work Spring 1821: An East Anglian fantasy inspired by Sir Edward German's Merrie England by Albert Edward Richardson. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,195.35) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Edward Richardson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Fantasy of Kubla Khan's Palace in September 2013 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,965.09).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Collection of Professor Sir Albert Richardson, P.R.A. durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spring 1821: An East Anglian fantasy inspired by Sir Edward German's Merrie England von Albert Edward Richardson zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.195,35) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Edward Richardson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Fantasy of Kubla Khan's Palace im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.965,09).
