This artwork by Preston Dickinson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2008. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work The Factory sold for USD 68,500.00 (€ 48,647.11) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Preston Dickinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life No. 1 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 665,000.00 (€ 534,651.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Preston Dickinson erzielte im September 2008 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit The Factory für USD 68.500,00 (€ 48.647,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Preston Dickinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life No. 1 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 665.000,00 (€ 534.651,87).
