Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Still Life by Preston Dickinson. The »bidding war« ended at USD 28,800.00 (€ 23,725.18), 15% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Preston Dickinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life No. 1 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 665,000.00 (€ 534,651.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life von Preston Dickinson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 28.800,00 (€ 23.725,18) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Preston Dickinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life No. 1 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 665.000,00 (€ 534.651,87).
