Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Preston Dickinson could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Still Life with Flowers changed hands for USD 7,170.00 (€ 5,868.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Preston Dickinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life No. 1 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 665,000.00 (€ 534,651.87).
