Auction result fails to reach estimate
This work of art by Poul Steffensen could be acquired at Bruun Rasmussen in April this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Paintings, furniture and varia auction, the work A young woman get to chat with an older man on the road changed hands for DKK 5,000.00 (€ 670.74) - just shy of the DKK 6,000.00 estimate. Admittedly, works by Poul Steffensen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Feeding the geese in March 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,994.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Dieses Kunstwerk von Poul Steffensen konnte im April diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia wechselte die Arbeit A young woman get to chat with an older man on the road für DKK 5.000,00 (€ 670,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit den Schätzpreis von DKK 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Poul Steffensen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Feeding the geese im März 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.994,12).
