Auction result misses estimated price range
In September this year a collector was able to acquire the work A fisherman and a seaweed collector talking on the beach by Poul Steffensen for DKK 3,400.00 (€ 455.84). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Poul Steffensen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Feeding the geese in March 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,994.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A fisherman and a seaweed collector talking on the beach von Poul Steffensen für DKK 3.400,00 (€ 455,84) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Poul Steffensen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Feeding the geese im März 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.994,12).
