Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Field landscape with cows by Poul Steffensen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in August this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,300.00 (€ 308.53). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Poul Steffensen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Feeding the geese in March 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,994.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Field landscape with cows von Poul Steffensen im August diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.300,00 (€ 308,53) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Poul Steffensen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Feeding the geese im März 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.994,12).
