Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in Zurich held the auction Swiss Made UNLOCKED, which included the work Lounge Chair Pk 20 by Poul Kjærholm. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 7,500.00 (€ 7,053.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Poul Kjærholm - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Set of six chairs, model no. PK 11, which sold at auction in December 2006 for USD 31,850.00 (€ 24,134.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Zürich die Auktion Swiss Made UNLOCKED durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lounge Chair Pk 20 von Poul Kjærholm zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 7.500,00 (€ 7.053,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Poul Kjærholm mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Set of six chairs, model no. PK 11 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für USD 31.850,00 (€ 24.134,27) versteigert wurde.
