Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Autumn in Texas by Porfirio Salinas was sold in the California, Western and American Paintings auction at Christies in Los Angeles in May 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,225.00 (€ 8,817.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Porfirio Salinas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bluebonnet Hill Country in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,761.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Autumn in Texas von Porfirio Salinas wurde im Mai 2000 in der Auktion California, Western and American Paintings bei Christies in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.225,00 (€ 8.817,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Porfirio Salinas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bluebonnet Hill Country im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.761,41).
