In October 2011 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II, which included the work The Elegy of Wolf by Pooya Aryanpour. The »bidding war« ended at USD 37,500.00 (€ 26,887.50), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pooya Aryanpour; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot La Rupture (Interrupted) sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of USD 49,000.00 (€ 31,474.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Elegy of Wolf von Pooya Aryanpour zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 26.887,50) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Pooya Aryanpour; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit La Rupture (Interrupted) im April 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 49.000,00 (€ 31.474,82).
