This artwork by Pol Dom achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2003. In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Ladies in blue sold for EUR 1,792.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 700.00. Admittedly, works by Pol Dom have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Port de Cannes: Boats in the Harbour of Cannes, France in May 2010 with an auction result of EUR 9,375.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pol Dom erzielte im September 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Ladies in blue für EUR 1.792,50 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pol Dom auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Port de Cannes: Boats in the Harbour of Cannes, France im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.375,00.
