Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work One Reaches For Another; and four companion works by Pixie Guerin was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 375.00 (€ 273.42). Other works by Pixie Guerin have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2012 by the work One Rises at USD 375.00 (€ 289.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit One Reaches For Another; and four companion works von Pixie Guerin im Januar 2011 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 375,00 (€ 273,42) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Pixie Guerin wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2012 die Arbeit One Rises mit USD 375,00 (€ 289,40).
