Sold at the upper estimate price
The work The Rape of Ganymede by Pietro Testa was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2012. The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,821.19), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Testa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aeneas On The Bank Of The River Styx in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,994,500.00 (€ 2,289,548.13).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit The Rape of Ganymede von Pietro Testa kam im Juli 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.821,19) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Testa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aeneas On The Bank Of The River Styx im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.994.500,00 (€ 2.289.548,13).
