Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Studies for a young woman turned to the right (recto); Studies for her head in profile and left hand (verso) by Pietro Testa for USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,115.87). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Testa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aeneas On The Bank Of The River Styx in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,994,500.00 (€ 2,289,548.13).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Testa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aeneas On The Bank Of The River Styx im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.994.500,00 (€ 2.289.548,13).
