Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Testa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aeneas On The Bank Of The River Styx in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,994,500.00 (€ 2,289,548.13).

Die Arbeit The Prophecy of Basilides von Pietro Testa kam im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 44.563,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Testa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aeneas On The Bank Of The River Styx im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.994.500,00 (€ 2.289.548,13).
