Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Youth favored by Fortune by Pietro Testa was sold in the Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries auction at Sothebys in New York in January last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 30,240.00 (€ 26,971.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Testa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aeneas On The Bank Of The River Styx in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,994,500.00 (€ 2,289,548.13).

Die Arbeit A Youth favored by Fortune von Pietro Testa wurde im Januar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 26.971,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
