Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pescatori che rammendano le reti by Pietro Scoppetta was sold in the ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO - 19TH CENTURY ART auction at Christies in Rome in May 2002. The price achieved of EUR 2,356.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Scoppetta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vue du port d'Amalfi in December 2004 with an auction result of EUR 32,900.00.

Die Arbeit Pescatori che rammendano le reti von Pietro Scoppetta wurde im Mai 2002 in der Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO - 19TH CENTURY ART bei Christies in Rom versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.356,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Scoppetta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vue du port d'Amalfi im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 32.900,00.
