In December 2008 Sothebys in Milan held the auction XIXth Century Paintings and Sculptures, which included the work Angolo Parigino by Pietro Scoppetta. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,625.00 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Scoppetta - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vue du port d'Amalfi, which sold at auction in December 2004 for EUR 32,900.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion XIXth Century Paintings and Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Angolo Parigino von Pietro Scoppetta zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.625,00 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pietro Scoppetta mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vue du port d'Amalfi beobachtet, die im Dezember 2004 für EUR 32.900,00 versteigert wurde.
