Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Bagpiper by Pietro Paolini was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2015. The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,637.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Paolini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Cardsharps in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,147,500.00 (€ 1,053,235.43).
