Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Posillipo, A View Of The Coast Towards Vesuvius; Pozzuoli, A View Of The Bay by Pietro Fabris was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 194,500.00 (€ 222,250.15). Admittedly, works by Pietro Fabris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Carnival In Naples In 1778, With The 'Cavalcata Turca' Parading Through The Largo Di Palazzo in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 782,500.00 (€ 941,226.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Posillipo, A View Of The Coast Towards Vesuvius; Pozzuoli, A View Of The Bay von Pietro Fabris im Juli 2013 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 194.500,00 (€ 222.250,15) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pietro Fabris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Carnival In Naples In 1778, With The 'Cavalcata Turca' Parading Through The Largo Di Palazzo im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 782.500,00 (€ 941.226,14).
