Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,368.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Antonio Novelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Neptune, Standing, Facing Left, A Dolphin At His Feet , which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,931.63).
