The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,880.63), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Annigoni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Princess Margaret in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 680,000.00 (€ 983,948.67).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.880,63) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Annigoni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Princess Margaret im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 680.000,00 (€ 983.948,67).
